A Bit More Than Superman

Creative genius Robin Gregory gave us a fabulous evening of creative photography last night. It was refreshing to hear Robin talk about the kit he uses as his brown camera, black camera and the one that flies, showing us that it is not necessarily the kit you have but the way it is used and your imagination and where that takes you that is more important. We were shown composites, photoshop wizardry, drone photography, local landmarks looking distinctly whacky with their pixels stretched, mix and match buildings and portraits with a difference were just some of the subject matter covered in Robin’s talk. It was interesting to see how a simple image could be transformed into something a lot more creative, with Robin talking us through each step, showing us how the image evolved. Ideas were often then expanded to create bodies of work before a new project was started. Robin showed us how pushing the boundaries of traditional photography often changed an ordinary image into something extraordinary.

Thank you Robin for sharing your amazing world of creativity with us!
