Fun Christmas Knockout Competition

Tonight we held our Fun Christmas Knock-Out competition compèred by Santa himself and what a great job he and his Chief Elf did!

We had to chose between some top class images, where sometimes we might have liked both to go through to the next round, but that’s the nature of this competition.

Ultimately, there was one winner, consistently voted as a favourite through all the rounds and that was ’Skeleton Girl’ by Caroline Wright a delightful mono image of a girl taken at the Day of the Dead parade in London in November - well done to Caroline! David Wilkinson’s leopard up a tree came second and Caroline’s beautifully muted Science Museum image from Valencia came third.

Congratulations to all who took part, thank you for showing us your wonderful images and making it such a tight competition.

Thank you to the following members who made the evening so successful:

Barbara - for buying all the festive food

Dave E for running the Zoom session

Chief Elf, aka Dave G for showing and shuffling the images

And finally, of course to Santa himself, aka Frank, for doing a fantastic job as compère, and at times judge and jury, for the evening.

Wishing all our members a very happy Christmas and a happy and healthy 2026.

We meet again on 6th January for the Hewitt Cup.
