Sport and Music Photography

On Tuesday evening we welcomed Michael Berkeley ARPS to our town hall meeting, to give his talk on ‘Sport and Music Photography’.

Michael gave an excellent talk, detailing his preparation, planning and execution of a shoot. His processing afterwards, together with details of accreditation, harging, and his approach to social media.

With around forty different sports covered in the last ten years, Michael showed us his tips and techniques for getting the best images, especially understanding the sport on the day and its rules.

With the music scene, he gave us an understanding of the challenges faced in very different lighting conditions.

An excellent talk that covered all the details, given in a clear and well articulated style.

For anyone setting out to do sport or music photography, Michael gave an exceptional talk on the nitty gritty.
