Marlborough Mops

6 Members met up in Marlborough for an evening photo shoot at the annual Mop Fair in Marlborough. “ Fairs were granted to the town in line with a charter from King John in 1204, where agricultural workers could come to be hired.”

The wide High Street is crammed from end to end with rides and stalls for the weekend plus a lot of people! We were very lucky to be granted exclusive access to the top of the tower at St Peter’s church at the west end of the high street for a birds-eye view of the action.

Photographing moving rides and people in low light is certainly challenging but we had a lot of fun trying! BC
