London's Architecture

  • Devizes Photography Club London Road Bridge Devizes, England, SN10 2DL United Kingdom (map)

Bridget Codrington is leading this event which will start with a 2 hour walk allowing people to photograph different architecture in London. We will then have some lunch which will be followed by an afternoon photographing the South Bank from the North Bank of the Thames. This will be a nice follow on from the talk by Les Forrester on 11th November on Art in Architecture.

For the afternoon you will need a tripod, wide angle lens and filters. A 16 stop filter would be useful but if you do not have this then a 10 stop should be fine and you could possibly stack some filters to get to 16. If you do not currently have filters then talk to Bridget or Penny about getting them before you make a purchase. It is good to have filters that are bigger than the lens otherwise you will get vignetting at the widest points of your lens and you use a step-up ring to add these filters. Magnetic filters are easier to use but more expensive.

Also the LEE Stopper app is useful for deciding on shutter speed settings so that you get smoothed out water for that Fine Art Photography look. We will go through how to use this on eat day.
