The Grand Flaneur Walk

  • Courtyard Wine Cellars 41 The Piazza London, England, WC2E 8RF United Kingdom (map)

We will be leaving from Devizes at 7.30am by car and anyone that wants a lift please contact Caroline. If you are doing this we will meet at Gloucester Road Tube Station at 9.30. We will take the Piccadilly line to Covent Garden and the next meeting time approx 10am for those traveling a different route is Cafe Nero 83-83 Long Acre Street What3Words chip.nails.closer. Alternatively you can make your own way by train. After a coffee we will then see who is around to photograph. There should be a number of opportunities for this and generally around Covent Garden.

This is an event organised by The Chap magazine and takes place on 17th May.

The meeting point this year is changing to Covent Garden in the outdoor areas to Courtyard Wine Cellars which is a warren of converted cellars beneath Covent Garden Piazza at midday and the walk has no fixed route. People saunter through London in their finest dandy, flaneur or vintage outfits to observe the city and be observed. so expect Suits, top hats, walking canes and other dandyish attire.

This looks like it will be a good photographing opportunity.
