First Meeting of the New Season

Tuesday evening brought round our first meeting of the season for Devizes Photography Club. It was exciting to see more than 50 visitors and members the hall, as well as more on zoom.

We had the season’s programme run through, together with details of the activities of the Special Interest group, and details from our competition secretary on PhotoEntry and a video recap of a number of external events for members.

The evening wouldn’t be complete without a break for home-made cakes and tea. After the break Robert Harvey ARPS, gave us a very well recieved talk, ‘20 shots in 20 miles’, showing us his different approaches to 20 locations in Wiltshore, using twenty different lighting, weather and seasonal differences, including aerial shots.

Next week, we are looking forward to a talk by Peter Orr ARPS, on the Arctic and Antartic.
