With around 10 members possessing new printers in the last 12 months, the club felt it important to ask Tim Jones (MA in Photography), Technical Manager at Fotospeed Calne, to layout a foundation of principles when setting out on a printing project.

Thanks to Tim Jones’ talk “Demystifying Printing” tonight, we now all know are Gamuts from our Pigments and our Colour Spaces from our Dyes!

Tim went through the different type of papers and when best to use them, the only dilemma left is choosing which of the amazing selection of papers from the Fotospeed library we wish to use to print our images - the rest is plain sailing!
