Mounting Prints

Many thanks to David Weeks who gave us a comprehensive mounting masterclass last night at the Special Interest Group Meeting at Bishops Cannings Village Hall.. Many members have recently bought printers seeing the benefit of viewing their images in print.

It was so interesting to see how the pros do it and don’t they make it look so easy?! David went through the types of mount, how to measure and mount them and the benefit of having the correct backing boards.

Members were then encourages to have a go themselves and David along with other club members were on hand to help.

Jules Hart, one of our newer members, made a mount for his very clever image ‘A Drop of Colour’ which he was awarded 2nd place in the close-up and macro competition this week.

I hope your masterpiece is framed and on the wall by now Jules?!
