Ham Wall
With a promise of early light and sunrise at 5.10am, six members of the club visited RSPB Ham Wall in Somerset. The Cloud gave way to sun around ten, however we saw and heard plenty of bird life. Cuckoos, bitterns, cranes, black caps, warblers, egrets, great crested grebes, water rail, marsh harriers, herons, and more. With the rise in temperatures we found butterflies, damsel flies, chasers and dragon flies on the wing. By midday, with the popularity of the site, it was time to live, after a successful introduction to Ham Wall for three of our members. GC
Trips by the Special Interest Group are a great way to try out new genres of photography, learn from fellow members and get to know other members of the club who are interested in photography.
