The Grand Flaneur Walk
Written By Penny Clarke
On Sunday 17th May The Special Interest Group enjoyed a trip to Covent Garden in London. The occasion was the Grand Flaneur Walk, a gathering of about a hundred people, dressed mainly in 18th, 19th, and early 20th century clothing.
11 members of the club met in Covent Garden, and had no end of subject matter to photograph, with many willing subjects. Alongside the crowds of tourists, it made a challenging day out with lots of oppertunity. The purpose of the walk is that it has no purpose, timetable or destination. 2025 saw the first winter walk, and we will keep an eye out for future events.
