ICM in West Woods

On a chilly 2nd of December photographers from the club braved the cold weather and met in West Woods for a mornings photography. The conditions were misty and there was a heavy frost but the sun was beginning to break through. Penny initially took us to the open central area so that we could have a go at taking images of a path with a receding leading line whilst the frost remained and she said that we could have a go at trying the Orton Effect with editing our images.

We then went to another area in the wood to try out some ICM. This wood lends itself to this type of photography because the trees were all felled in the 1950’s and replanted so are nice and straight and have little ground cover in the area that we were using. We then spent the rest of the morning having a go at ICM so that we could get some practice in before the bluebells arrive in late spring. PC
